Anti wrinkle injections are a prescription muscle relaxant medication. It is used to treat a number of conditions within the body and contains the active ingredient Botulinum Toxin A. The overall effect depends largely on where the injection is placed, the nurse will help guide you through this, as the treatment works by partially blocking the nerve impulses in the muscle.
In aesthetics it is used in the facial area to help temporarily improve the appearance of fine lines, and is also used to help prevent fine lines appearing. These effects normally last anywhere between 3-6 months depending upon your lifestyle, age or skin type.
